Sudi is a greedy-ass, money-grubbing manchild. His AU, Casimir, is a spoilt, clueless child who just loves attention. Both versions might be difficult for your character to deal with in long doses. Sorrynotsorry?

History:
500 years ago, there was the Battle of Morning Star. As an effect, two types of energy stones came into existence into Landisi’s mainland: The Holy Stones, which have pure and holy power, and Vile Stones, which hold evil spiritual energy. These stones were scattered by Angels and Demons after their battle. At first, people were afraid to use their power, but mages and priests discovered that these stones greatly enhance magical abilities. Over time, the stones and battle became a legend as the stones became unfindable for all mages.

Descendants of those from the Battle of Morning Star were by-products of Angels and Demons being able to mate and bear hybrid children with human partners. Though they are not accepted in the human, angel, or demon kingdoms, these hybrid children were gifted with intellect and outstanding looks. Moreover, they had the innate ability for magic and to seek out the energy stones. Through generations, the power of these hybrids weakened to the point that it was difficult to defend themselves. They became sought after by noblemen as trophies, or worse, as slaves to acquire the energy stones.

Sudi is an angel, whose body may or may not be his own, sent by Yate to the kingdom of humans. However, due to untold circumstances, he has no memory of Yate's orders, even when Yate appears to him in a dream. The words, "Seal," "Forget," and the mention of "Raphael and Lilith," are the only clues he has to go on, if he can recall that he has a mission at all. As Yate can predict the future, it is most assuredly a mission to do with some future event unrevealed. Yate has additionally lost his memories and taken the form of a black cat, now called Blackie, to stay by Sudi's side.

On earth, Sudi has become a performer, using his magic in order to entice crowds and earn money. He seems to be struggling with funds at the current moment, screaming at the Heavens for relief. Blackie tells Sudi that he could stand to be more humble. Sudi threatens to sell Blackie if he keeps saying such things, but a scream from the forest interrupts them. Seeing this as the opportunity to make money for saving the person, Sudi and Blackie head towards the cry.

They find Yikamu, a mute boy, being cornered by a larger bobcat demon. Blackie tells Yikamu to duck and hide just as Sudi throws the bobcat demon across the field. The demon reacts aggressively and charges at Sudi, who responds by pulling out his flute and playing a melody. The song stuns the demon, and Yikamu because he didn't cover his ears. Sudi scolds Blackie for not doing better and makes Blackie heal him. When Yikamu is revived, Sudi demands money, bringing it down to thirty coppers out of pity for Yikamu being obviously poor. Just because Yikamu is poor and can't talk doesn't mean he can get away without paying. Sudi mopes when he discovers that he saved a 'penniless idiot.'

In response to Sudi's whining, Yikamu procures a stone for Sudi - a Vile Stone. Sudi recognises it right away and realises why Yikamu is mute. He asks Yikamu to open his mouth and finds him with his tongue cut out because YIkamu is a half-demon. Sudi ends up gripping Yikamu's jaw too hard and Blackie warns him about this, with Sudi apologising for his strength. After confirming that Yikamu is alright, he asks to see the stone, putting it into the pendant on his neck. He tells Yikamu to watch closely and chants a spell as the pendant floats that revives the bobcat demon. Sudi approaches the now-docile demon, giving it the name Little Guai and saying they now have transportation. Afterwards, he tells Yikamu that he is to come with him until he can repay him properly. Even though Yikamu agrees, Sudi contemplates the money he could make by selling him to a pedophile. But they head to the nearest city, Maidi.

In Maidi, Sudi pulls everyone into Anji Mana's Magic Jewels Shop to attempt to sell the Vile Stone. The shop owner laughs, claiming it can't be real and going so far as to claim that he has his own Vile and Holy Stones. Sudi, however, is too busy drooling over other stones in the store, and asks for 500 copper for the Vile Stone. The shop owner kicks all of them out. Sudi laughs and calls the owner a fool, since he clearly has neither of the stones. He tells Yikamu that he has a job to help pay off his debt. While Sudi performs on Little Guai's back, Yikamu is to collect the coins thrown at them. Blackie notices something off and seeks it out. It isn't long before Sudi also notices and stops his performance, asking who dares to muddle his show.

In the corner of his venue, he finds a thief picking up some of the thrown money, claiming the money belongs to it. Sudi is having none of it, telling it to begone, and finds that he can tell the thief isn't from the human realm. When it threatens Sudi for his money, Sudi pulls out his flute to banish it. With its final breath, it says it curses Sudi. Sudi then scolds Yikamu for not paying better attention. However, with Sudi banishing the thief, the illusion he had cast before is broken and all of the girls begin chasing after him. Sudi scoops up Blackie and Yikamu and flees. It's explained later that the girls wanted to sleep with him because of his looks, and lacked self-control without the spell as a residual effect.

Later that night, while Sudi sleeps, Yikamu steals Sudi's pendant and leaves. Blackie sees this and follows him. However, Yikamu and Blackie get captured right away. Meanwhile, a man sneaks into Sudi's room, hoping to take advantage of him. However, Sudi kicks him in the face when he gets close, convinced the man wants to steal his money. However, when he realises the man mistook him for a woman, he explains that he is neither female nor male, but an angel, revealing his beauty to the man. When the man faints from the sight, Sudi finds the man's purse and takes his money as a 'viewing' fee, and makes the man pay for his room for the night. He does notice that Blackie and Yikamu are missing, but makes no effort to search for them, opting to sleep instead.

Sudi dreams of Yate, only to awaken to the tattoo beneath his eye stinging. The innkeeper knocks on his door, telling him that a noble is looking for Sudi. The messengers are Bao'er, a child, and Luozhi. Luozhi says that his master requests Sudi's presence after seeing his performance. Sudi finds this suspicious and asks them to leave, but Bao'er brings up that they kidnapped Yikamu and Blackie, demanding Sudi's obedience. Sudi isn't enticed by this, saying he hates working for free and being threatened the most, and that Blackie and Yikamu should just die instead. Luozhi clarifies that there is a handsome reward in return for Sudi's help, which immediately changes Sudi's tune.

Sudi is reunited with Blackie, and a caretaker tells him that Yikamu is a known thief. And Sudi makes it clear he is displeased with the way they abuse Yikamu, asking for both Yikamu and his pendant back. When Yikamu is allowed forward, he collapses into Sudi's arms, and Sudi realises the extent of Yikamu's torture. He asks Blackie to heal him and tells the caretaker that he will be taking Yikamu and demands retribution, unleashing his power. However, Sudi is promised that if he completes the lord's request - the retrieval of a Stone in the forest - he can demand any price he wants. Sudi complies.

On the road, Bao'er demands that Sudi tell her a story around the Battle of Morning Star. He tells the story of how the battle started because the King of Heaven wanted Raphael's lover, Jiela'er, to marry his own adoptive son, Yate. Because of this, Raphael revolted, leading masses of soldiers. Ultimately, Raphael lost and lead the scattered survivors in the fall from grace, becoming demons, while Jiela'er committed suicide. He concludes that once you have an important person, you are willing to pay more than any price imaginable.

Sudi learns that Luozhi is a corpse under an enchantment. Later, Luozhi's brother, Luoyi, comes to take Luozhi and Bao'er back home, leaving just Yikamu, Blackie, and Sudi to the journey. Due to an enchanted miasma and his injuries, Yikamu falls into an enchanted sleep. A wandering pharmacist later revealed to be Raphael, finds them and offers his help, saving Yikamu. Blackie feels an immediate attraction to Raphael and stays by his side, unaware of the truth.

This leaves Yikamu and Sudi to complete the mission. As they travel deeper into the forest, branches try to trap them. Even as Sudi cuts them down, the branches regenerate. When Raphael learns that Sudi can't defend himself, he casts a spell to save him. Sudi is in a dark space, able to see himself, Yikamu, and Little Guai through a pool. He sees himself wake up, but knows that's not him controlling his body. Raphael, possessing him, communicates with Sudi telepathically, asking for his help to retrieve the child guarding the Stone in the forest. He promises Sudi the Stone the child possesses in return. Sudi agrees.

Returned to his body, Sudi and Yikamu make it to the middle of the forest to a prison inside a tree. Sudi forces his way in. Inside, the floor begins to collapse beneath them, and Sudi brings out his wings to save Yikamu. They find a floor covered in human bones. Sudi points out that these bones have been here for several years.

Yikamu sees a young angel running up to him, asking him to look at the flame she conjured. Yikamu is surprised, but Sudi tells him it's just an illusion. They watch as it follows the story of her abuse. Sudi tells Yikamu that if he gets too absorbed in the illusion, he'll lose himself. Yikamu is perturbed that Sudi isn't unmoved by the violence in the illusion. However, Sudi is aware of the illusion, realising its power is borne in sadness. Yikamu succumbs to the illusion and attacks Sudi, knocking him unconscious. Raphael realises that Yikamu is possessed and takes over Yikamu's body to help him fight the prisoner that holds the stone. However, when Sudi comes to, Raphael leaves. Sudi fights to keep Yikamu safe. Sudi is annoyed at the prisoner's violent reaction, but finds himself unwilling to punish them for it, saying he now understands a babysitter's way of thinking.

He pulls out his flute and begins to play. Raphael recognises it as 'Lilith's Favourite Soul-Calming Requiem'. Sudi casts an illusion of the prisoner's parents apologising for not being able to protect them and professing their love for them. The prisoner collapses in tears. Sudi finds the stone he was supposed to take, trapped in the prisoner's eye. He scoffs and says he won't do it, wondering how to get the crystal back without hurting them. Suddenly, the prisoner is reborn as a teeny angel, fitting in the palm of Sudi's hand, and holding the crystal.

Sudi rushes back to Raphael, demanding Blackie back. No sooner are Blackie and Sudi reunited than Jiela'er scoops Blackie into her arms, calling Blackie Yate. She promises she wants to help him and begins praying to Heaven for Yate's rebirth. With Jiela'er's death, Blackie begins to glow with a faint light, restoring and reconstructing from the damage done to Yate's body. Yikamu runs off to find the town on fire and looks to rescue his mother and sister. Sudi later rides Little Guai to look for them. And in searching in the flames, Blackie becomes Yate once again.

Personality: Sudi, first and foremost, loves money and anything that helps him obtain it. If he is offered good compensation, he will eagerly accept almost any task. He is quickly shown changing his tune from refusal to quick and eager acceptance if he is offered monetary compensation, such as in the case when he discovers that Yikamu and Blackie are kidnapped, and shows no interest in rescuing them until Luozhi promises that he will be offered a hefty reward, in which he instantly becomes gleefully compliant, asking for them to hurry and lead the way. Riches motivate him instantly, and nothing else comes close, although he also enjoys pretty things.

However, that's not to say that Sudi doesn't have some form of standards. He takes pity on those who are suffering and isn't willing to hurt these people any further. When he finds out that Yikamu has been tortured, he demands they pay for his medical care, for one, as well as demanding that he will be taking Yikamu with him. He is offered any compensation he desires if he retrieves the Energy Stone in the forest, but when he finds that the Stone is kept within the prisoner's eye, the prisoner themself having suffered all of their life, he has no will to extract it. The prisoner's suffering also caused him to not want to fight them in order to subdue them and he sought to use an illusion to bring them some form of peace. His concern for people in abusive situations doesn't reach very far, but he is somehow willing to help when it comes to certain circumstances.

Sudi says he has no patience for children, perhaps because they have a need to be watched over and he has no desire to babysit them. He has even less patience for children who are demanding or bossy. Along with these, he hates helping for free or being threatened and will respond negatively to these, showing little concern for any distraught otherwise in these circumstances, even up to his companions' lives being at stake being ignored. Anyone who requires his assistance better be prepared to offer compensation, or at least being cordial when they come to him. He also hates hot weather.

Sudi is remarkably easygoing and tends to exhibit a good disposition, even if things aren't necessarily going his way. Any exhibits of temper are usually temporary and are quick to subside, especially with the desired outcome in reach, such as when he fails to sell the Vile Stone at the shop, he's still eager to let Yikamu work for him to obtain his funds, even if it's indirectly, as he already obtained the Vile Stone. He also isn't too worried when Yikamu disappears, since it's not with the cash earned that day. He faces his problems head-on and is impulsive in his solutions, regardless if it's right or wrong, and often through his brute strength or illusion.

Sudi expresses his caring for others in a rather loud, and even angry, fashion and is unable to express himself properly. He'll yell at people over their negative dispositions, especially when they're injured, saying that being cheerful will help them heal more quickly. Or when he demands Blackie back and saying that he won't let Blackie stay with anyone without a down payment. He also reacts ill to Blackie leaving him behind, calling him a traitor, showing how close he feels to Blackie and trusts in him.

Overall, even though Sudi's first love is finance and comfort, he does have a very basic level of care and consideration, although he isn't able to execute proper displays of care, coming off as crass when he attempts to show this caring.

CR-AU: N/A

Physical description: Sudi has long, layered, white hair that rests in a ponytail. His eyes are purple, with a red, teardrop-like tattoo under his eye. He is pale, and has retractable angel wings.

Meta Powers
ANGEL: There are three types of Angels. The first is those with angel parentage on both sides: high-level angels. They are very few. They reside in the privileged upper district and they have the privilege to choose their sex. The second type are egg-born. They represent half of Heaven's population. They are adopted by angels and hatched. Because of their white wings, they are collectively known as "White Wings." (Birthplace: In Water.) The third kind is reincarnation. They also form half of Heaven's population. One of the parents had angel lineage. Their bodies and spiritual strength are especially strong, so after death, they are reincarnated as an angel. Their wings are black, so together they are called, "Black Wings." (Birthplace: Jingzhi.) Aside from the high angels, an angel must rise to a high enough rank if they wish to receive and choose a gender, seen as a right of the strong. Since Sudi is genderless with white wings, he is likely of the second variety. This gives him some unique abilities.

  • Strength: Sudi shows a high level of physical strength, such as when he is able to toss a massive bobcat demon with all the effort of throwing a basket acrost the way. He also admits to having trouble controlling his strength. He might also run faster than the average human.

  • Counter: As an angel, Sudi is supposed to be good at countering curses. However, his counter ability isn't as strong as it should be and he occasionally needs help against stronger curses and darkness.

MAGIC: Uncertain if this is attributed to his angel genetics, or if he's just accounted as a magician. He has the following skills in his arsenal. Besides a lack of skill, there are no set limits on what magic Sudi can perform. However, I will limit him to the magics described here. Magic can be amplified with Vile or Holy Stones.

  • Spells: These are usually chanted in an incomprehensible language whose origins are not revealed. Sudi often performs illusion magic.

  • Music Magic: Particularly with his flute, he is quite talented at it. He can use this magic to deafen, stun, or heighten an illusion.

Notable/Unique Needs: Money, of course! N/A

Earth AU

Earth AU Name: Casimir Cummings. (Cass or CC for short).
Earth AU Age: 29
Trigger Warnings: N/A

History:
Casimir Cummings, named after Casimir Pulaski, was born in Norfolk, Virginia to an archivist mother and a chief warrant officer father. His mother chose his name from her love of history. His father was often away to work on the naval base, meaning Casimir's mother raised Casimir most of the time. As Casimir grew, his mother would often indulge his tall tales and encouraged his creativity and was hardly strict unless Casimir was visibly causing problems. This meant that Casimir often got away with a lot more than he should have, only really being scolded for blatant lies and harmful actions, such as property damage. Although that didn't stop his father from scolding him for exaggerating his stories to avoid getting in trouble the times he was home.

As Casimir reached middle school, he saw his first clairvoyant on television and begged his mother for his first tarot deck afterwards. His mother was happy to oblige, even getting him a book on how to use them. He practised on all of his friends, expanding into tea leaves and palm reading through high school. He grew in popularity with students who believed in psychic phenomena and he greatly enjoyed the attention it got him. These interactions made him realise that he wanted to run his own metaphysical shop when he got older.

Casimir's first jobs were very humdrum for him, working a small variety of retail and fast food, as he doesn't really value doing labour. He often shuffled in and out of jobs as he got bored. He did attend college for a little while, but didn't get very far as he found it also boring. He finally managed to find a cashier job in a metaphysical shop, and apprenticed as a fortune teller under the shop owner when they weren't busy. It was his longest job location while he stayed in Virginia. As Casimir developed his psychic persona, he began using his tall tales to claim that he was a descendant of the Parisian Fortune-Tellers, of which he is very-much-so not, and dyed his blond hair black to give himself a more exotic look.

Although Casimir flitted in and out of relationships with a variety of genders throughout his teen years, he managed to find love in his mid-twenties. His partner told him that he should enter modelling, and he decided to take that advice. He made it into a magazine or two, and loved any additional attention he got from it. His partner often spoiled him, and frequently so, and Casimir absolutely loved it. However, he never thought to return the favour. While Casimir was happy, his partner was decidedly not, and broke up with him when Casimir very recently, accusing him of being a gold-digger. Casimir kept all of the gifts from this partner, such as clothes and jewellery, still heavily attached to them.

Casimir, still torn up about his breakup, moved to Staten Island in New York through Yotsuyu's realty (permissions from [personal profile] alongnight) to start a new life. His mother came up with him to help him find a place and signed the paperwork under her name to help him get back on his feet. She also paid for his shop location to get him started. Both properties remain under his mother's name. However, while his parents pay the rent on his new apartment, he makes an effort to pay the rent for his own metaphysical shop, called the Divine I, as well as personal spending. Casimir runs the shop mostly on his own, running sales in the open and divinations by appointment. He also continues to moonlight as a small-time model, trying to make a name for himself, although he certainly hasn't made it beyond a few photoshoots and magazines yet. He lives his life in New York cosy for the most part, with his parents coming to visit him from time to time.

Personality:
Casimir is very social and strives to be charming. He loves any positive attention he can garner. This is one of the reasons he enjoys modelling, even. Invitations to parties are almost always a yes for him. If he garners any negative attention, he might be willing to put up with them for only a little while, enough to try and justify himself if need be. However, after a certain amount of effort, he's not worried about the negative attention and is quick to give them the silent treatment and move on.

Casimir can care for people at a fairly basic level. He clearly adores those that he's close to, outwardly admitting his admiration. But he has a disconnect from basic human needs and thus may find it difficult to even recognise the concept of returning any favours he's shown. This can be displayed as such when people buy him gifts, he may not think to get them nice things in return. He will offer minor consolations if he notices someone is feeling distressed by listening and giving them a, "There, there," with a pat on the head. But he doesn't know how to do much more than that. If people get fed up with him due to a lack of meeting in the middle, depending on his closeness with them, he may be hurt by the person leaving and confused as to why they left. He was so nice to them, after all.

One particular person he's still broken up over having left him is his ex-partner. He was spoilt by them for years, and because he was happy, he thought they must be happy, too. It was quite a shocking surprise to him when his ex called him a gold-digger and broke up with him. Though this may be in some small part due to lack of communication, it is mostly due to Casimir's own shortcomings in realising what makes others happy. This may be able to be improved upon with very patient counselling to guide him to these realisations, but is still stunted as it stands at this time.

He is not above stretching the truth, or even outright lying, in order to impress others. For example, he may exaggerate the memories of his past life as they occur more often in order to make himself sound more important than he might actually be. Of course, he'll exaggerate any real-life happenings he has to, or tell stories that aren't his like they are. Behaving like this often gets him the attention he seeks. He enjoys seeing others hang on to his every word, interested in whatever persona he chooses to be in that moment. If his stories ever backfire, Casimir is likely to retort with something of the lines, "Oh, you think so?" and mostly leave it at that.

In this lifetime, Casimir isn't necessarily in love with money as much as he's in love with being spoilt. He absolutely loves receiving just about any gifts and is picky of very few things he receives. If anyone gives him any gifts, he will immediately become more cordial towards them, even with his already-social personality. He will be quick to dub them friends, at the bare minimum. It was one of the big reasons he really loved his ex-partner, after all. This can make him very easy to bribe, and he may even be unsuspecting of anyone who gifts him anything. Casimir also has a particular soft spot for food and indulges fairly often. Food does make him happy. He is aware of having to work to keep his figure for modelling, and he does go jogging or running regularly to keep himself in shape.

Perhaps surprising most, Casimir is hardly fazed by the concept that he has a past life. Especially so by being in a group where he can freely discuss these things. He feels like this is yet another chance to be in the spotlight. If anything, he's more surprised at the fact that what he's selling at the metaphysical shop has truth to it. Finding out that things like spirits, magic, and past lives, all of the things he thought were just made up, are real is just more fuel for his divinations. He honestly hopes to learn more about his past life.

Overall, he just wants to live an easy life being adored by other people.

Physical description: Dyes hair and brows black (naturally blond), green eyes. No tattoo under the eye. Otherwise, his physical build is the same.
